How Did Chris Pratt Lose Weight - Before and After Picture

As transformations go, few can rival Chris Pratt for a total and complete body make-over.   No-one comes close to the Hollywood star's transition from chubby favourite to bonafide heartthrob.

What's more, his stunning remodelling came pretty much overnight. So incredible does the 38-year-old now look that cuddly Brett in 2013 film The Delivery Man has been quickly forgotten. Most film buffs will remember he did look a little on the heavy side nearly six years ago.

But did you know he actually weighed in at over 300 pounds during filming?

He actually decided to slim down after originally being shunned for a role he desperately wanted. After soon being put forward for the role of Scott Hatteberg in Moneyball he got the response which - as it turned out - actually changed his life.

Chris was told by director Bennett Miller that he was too fat for the part. There was no sugar-coating it from the film's decision maker, but the actor wasn't about to take no for an answer. He joined a gym and worked...and worked and worked!

“I’d check in maybe once a week and I’d say, ‘They cast it yet?’ and I would just keep working out," he said. "Finally, I got in good enough shape that I took a picture of myself and sent it to my agent”.

He managed to shift some 84 pounds in weight - and vitally has managed to keep it off. Anyone who has managed to slim down is always good to hit up for some tips but if you're planning on getting in shape Chris has spoken of the reality his weight loss

"You can’t have beer, hash browns, burgers, or anything fried. No carbs," he said. "And you have to work out five times a week."

Chris has always been open about being a yo-yo dieter and says getting his running shoes on always helps improve his mental state.

“If you cut the c**p out of your diet and spend an hour a day doing something physical, you’ll feel better mentally, physically and spiritually, because it’s all tied together," the star adds.

“Honestly, there’s no trick or secret to it. It’s about getting after it and being patient and consistent.

"And it’s not about starving yourself, because you want to give your body proper nutrition.

"And think about who you want to be in six months or eight months or two years’ time, whatever it is.

"Start now. Eat right and be active. Time moves along at the same speed if you’re working hard or not."

Now where did we leave those trainers?
